Welcome to the SN2 project web site
The SN2 project is a monitoring program of nearby (d < 350 Mpc) type Ia supernovae from the Observatory of Sierra Nevada (Granada, Spain)
The main goal of the program consists in building a statistically significant and homogeneous photometric sample of about 70 type-Ia SNe for which we have spectroscopic data for their host galaxies form the SDSS.
The SN sample is very heterogeneous, being characterised by SNe Ia in different environments to unveil common features that can pinpoint the existence of different progenitor/environmental properties and/or formation channel.
